Just wanted to remind everyone of how awesome these seats are in the Ford Expedition Platinum.
It may cost as much as a small house, but damn the seats are gorgeous.

They look more like human-sized skillets if you ask me.

Needs moar bolster.

I like the Platinum but King Ranch is where it’s at

It may cost as much as be* a small house, but damn the seats are gorgeous.

My dad has these seats in his Tundra. Nothing but compliments.

They go perfectly with that premium dash material.

It’s not as big as you think it is if you sit in one, just saying.

More like, look like heaven.

I dig the King Ranch too, but I’ve seen them used and I don’t feel like the KR leather holds up well in the long haul, which is a shame because it’s crazy nice.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:41 |

Nice looking, I like the “quilting” on the top portion.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:41 |
|
Those are nice, they remind me of the seats in that “Filson” wrangler.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:43 |

Best seats in the industry? I would say so
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:44 |

If you want a fancier dashboard call Lincoln.
If you’re looking for upgraded seats in your Ford, the Platinum will do nicely.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:45 |

It sure as hell is their goal in that Continental. Did you hear how you can adjust (at least in the front seat) the seat height for your thighs individually? lol
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:47 |
|
That’s actually a pretty nice looking dash.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:54 |

Was about to post this. Though in the real car you want to be in the front seats.

LOL. I’m happy there is finally a new Navigator coming out soon.

sit in a king ranch 250 or 350. Those are amazing
![]() 03/30/2016 at 14:16 |

There you go!
People are just always afraid to look at the Navi/Expedition. Nice trucks.

Has it on the dash and the back seats as well. The diomond tuck(and A/C seats) are what make it one of my favorites to drive out of our fleet.

If it looks like the abomination they strutted out at the auto show recently I’ll keep the current version.
(says Ford/Lincoln fanboy over here)

Mmmm I love some King Ranch seats too, I’ve just seen them not look great on the used market. I hope they’re holding up better these days.

I may not like toyota’s, but that’s a damn nice looking interior, and that’s undeniable.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 14:26 |

Ah yeah, now that I remember most of the ones I’ve seen have help up like crap.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 14:35 |

I did hear about the thigh thing. It is awesome. Needless opulence some might say, I say it is the essence of luxury.

After nearly 2 years and 30,000 miles with the truck it has held up pretty well. My sister broke a cover on one of the cigarette lighters in the back last week and the Toyota Entune system is not very good but other then that it is fantastic. Also the back seat room is just plain stupid. If it tells you how big the truck is, our RX400h when parked right next to the Tundra goes from the hood to the back of the back doors. It’s nearly 6 feet longer then the RX.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 14:36 |

It’s a shame because they look GREAT out the door.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 14:36 |

Isn’t needless opulence the cornerstone of luxury?
![]() 03/30/2016 at 14:37 |

It is indeed and the Continental has it in spades!

Forget Drumpf’s make America great again crap
Make American Luxury Cars the standard of the world again sounds better to me.

I agree! I would vote for that guy/gal

We use it to tow the FJ40 occasionally but for the most part it is our family vehicle/mobile billboard for the parents auto repair business. About the size of a real one too.

Hahahaha
![]() 03/30/2016 at 15:10 |

They really do.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 15:51 |

Most of the time I see them beat up on trucks with 350k on the odo. I’m not sure I’ve seen many leather seats take that much use well.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 16:09 |
|
I suppose it looks more like “King Ranch’s I can afford have jacked up seats because I can only afford beat up/beat on King Ranch’s” lol
![]() 03/30/2016 at 22:45 |

This is such an American post. The seats are almost completely flat! They’re just brown leather seats, I don’t see the appeal.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 07:00 |

I’ve seen a few used King Ranches - even first years recently; they’re designed to look worn like a saddle, but I haven’t seen any outright construction failures, though plenty of rips and tears in the expected areas.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 07:03 |

I have a customer who loves the seats in his F-150 Limited so much, he acquired a bunch in matching brownish-red for his fifth-wheel RV and boat interior seats.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 09:34 |
|
Wow that’s insane.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 09:35 |
|
Yeah, I mean I know they are designed to look worn, I just think they looks super worn once used.

This is such a European reply.
Judgmental and condescending!
Last time I sat in a Mercedes-Benz seat it was one of the worst new car seats I’ve sat in within the last 10 years.
I sat in these and was in heaven. If you haven’t sat in them, maybe don’t be so judgmental. It’s a big SUV not a corner carving sports car.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 17:48 |
|
You’re right, I haven’t sat in them. I think they’re only available in the US. It’s not a sports car, but surely it has to go around bends occasionally!
I’m Australian, all of the sass with none of the stigma
![]() 04/01/2016 at 09:13 |

Damn fine response to the Euro comment.
And clearly you’re unfamiliar with the boring straight smooth bended roads we have throughout the majority of America.
We don’t have to zigzag to run away from all the deadly creatures.
